Miranda Pastor // artista visual, investigadora y escenógrafa

Recién titulada del Máster de Investigación en Arte y Creación en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2020) y graduada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Barcelona (2018). Durante estos últimos años he compaginado los estudios artísticos con el trabajo como escenógrafa para la compañía belga Le Corridor y diferentes residencias artísticas, como Qlectiva 2020 en el Corralito CCA y Pintores Pensionados del Paisaje 2018 – Palacio del Quintanar en Segovia. Actualmente es residente becada en El Corralito CCA y forma parte de los colectivos Las Tipias y Perrito Piloto.

Las obras que llevo a cabo se basan en nuestra relación con el entorno contemporáneo, intentando problematizarlo a la vez que valorando sus posibilidades estéticas. Desde la pintura a las publicaciones, algunas de mis obras han estado expuestas en diferentes salas, como la Galería Esther Montoriol (2016, 2018 y 2019), el MEAM (2018) y el Museo Díaz Caneja (2018). A la vez que han sido seleccionadas en diferentes premios, entre los cuales se encuentra el Concurso Internacional de Dibujo Ynglada Guillot (2018) y la Muestra de Arte Joven de la Rioja (2019).

Miranda Pastor // Visual artist, researcher and scenographer

Recently graduated from the Master of Research in Art and Creation by the Complutense University of Madrid (2020) as well as graduated in Fine Arts by the University of Barcelona (2018). During these last years I have combined artistic studies with work as a scenographer for the Belgian company Le Corridor and different artistic residencies, such as Qlectiva 2020 at El Corralito CCA and the painting residency Pintores Pensionados del Paisaje 2018 – Palacio del Quintanar in Segovia. Currently working with a residency grant within El Corralito CCA and working in the collectives Las Tipias and Perrito Piloto.

The works I carry out are based on our relationship with the contemporary environment, trying to problematize it while valuing its aesthetic possibilities. From painting to publications, some of my works have been shown in different exhibitions, which include the Esther Montoriol Gallery (2018, 2019 and 2020), the MEAM (2018) and the Díaz Caneja Museum (2018). At the same time they have been selected in different awards, among which are the International Drawing Competition Ynglada Guillot (2018) and young exhibition Muestra de Arte Joven de la Rioja (2019).
